Blood of Dracula

Six weeks after her mother's death, Nancy is enrolled by her father at the Sherwood School for Girls. The school is framed as a private, prestigious institution rather than a corrective facility. Nancy arrives uneasy but determined to make a fresh start.

Nancy is greeted by Principal Mrs. Thorndyke, who presents the school as having an outstanding reputation. She emphasizes discretion and the private nature of the academy. Nancy senses the pressure to fit in from the outset.

That night, Nancy becomes a target of harassment from her dormmates. At breakfast the next day, Myra and the others confront her, and Myra tells Nancy it was good she did not complain about the earlier incident. The mood is tense as Nancy tries to assess her place among the girls.

Myra explains the Birds of Paradise club and introduces Nancy to Eddie, the groundsman who will be their rotating quarry for dates. Myra works as Miss Branding's assistant, and Branding reveals she is seeking a special subject for her controversial research. She suggests Nancy as the perfect candidate to unlock a supposed innate power.

In chemistry, Myra and Nola swap a chemical to burn Nancy, causing her to react violently. Branding becomes intrigued by Nancy's response and notes her potential as a test subject. Nancy unwittingly steps closer to the experiment while trying to understand what is happening.

Branding privately hypnotizes Nancy after gaining her trust, placing an antique amulet around her neck. She tells Nancy the amulet can unleash power she must obey, and Nancy reluctantly agrees to her control. The scene marks the beginning of Nancy's loss of autonomy.

During Nancy's initiation party, Eddie and two boys climb into the girls' room. Branding, despite the distance, re-hypnotizes Nancy and turns her into a vampire. In the basement, Nola is fatally attacked by an unknown subhuman creature, signaling deadly consequences of the girls' secret world.

The next morning, Detective Stewart investigates Nola's death while the coroner reports puncture wounds and blood drained. Nancy cannot wake up until Branding orders her, and Nancy's disturbing nightmare is dismissed as she is told to forget it.

The school stages a Halloween cemetery scavenger hunt. Nancy is transformed again and kills Terry and Tab. The police subject the scavenger-hunt participants to lie-detector tests, but Branding uses remote hypnosis to alter Nancy's answers, shielding her from suspicion.

Back at the school, Nancy begs Branding to end the experiment, but Branding insists the work is not finished and promises it will save humanity. Nancy worries she might one day kill Glenn, her boyfriend from back home. The sense of dread deepens as control tightens.

Glenn arrives, distressed by the murders, only to be met with Nancy's emotional distance. She acts cold toward him, fearing she might act on her dark urges at any moment. The tension between old love and new danger escalates.

Nancy returns to Branding's laboratory to request release, but Branding continues to hypnotize her and the vampire attacks crown the struggle. Nancy kills Branding, but Branding's defensive push sends Nancy falling onto broken furniture to be impaled and die. Glenn, Thorndyke, and Myra break in to witness the aftermath, and Branding's written thesis is destroyed after being soaked with acid.
