The Haunted School

Twenty years ago, Lap Lan Girls’ School faced a devastating fire that would stain its reputation and stories for years to come. From the ashes of that tragedy, a series of strange and chilling events began to unfold. A headmaster hanged himself from a tree, a student hurled herself from the school building, and a ghostly silhouette appeared on a wall near the staircase—an image that cannot be erased. The school imposed a harsh set of rules beyond ordinary discipline: a ban on falling in love, a curfew that forbade students from leaving their dormitories after 11 at night, and a chilling mechanism by which a mysterious female voice would speak from the public address system whenever a student broke a rule or wandered out of bounds. If a student followed that voice into the school office, she vanished, never to be seen again. The survivors—grasping for answers—turn to their teacher, Miss Fong, who becomes the group’s reluctant guide through the mystery. Driven by a desire to end the nightmare, Keung, Yat-man, Ben [Benjamin Yuen], and Siu-fong band together to locate the old school office—the heart of the curse—and destroy it once more. Destroying the office, they believe, is the only path to break the dean’s malevolent hold over Lap Lan. The effort requires courage, wit, and a willingness to confront the whispers of a school that refuses to forget its sins. As they close in on the forgotten space, the lines between memory and reality blur, and the very walls of the institution seem to pulse with the echo of the past. The pursuit becomes not just a battle against a supernatural force, but a fight to reclaim the lives that the school’s rules and secrets have consumed.
