Cass initially believed she was doomed after attempting to end her life, thinking her murder plan had succeeded. However, she was actually alive, having faked her death to catch Rachael and Matthew in the act of their conspiracy. With the help of her ally, John, Cass set a trap, leading her persecutors to believe she was truly dead. When Rachael, Matthew, and Cass eventually encountered each other again, the truth surfaced. As tensions climaxed, Cass confronted Rachael, who in a fit of rage ended up stabbing Matthew. Rachael then tried to blame Cass for her own actions, emphasizing her own inability to face her failures and her descent into madness. The police arrived to arrest Rachael, ending her treacherous scheme, while Matthew was rushed to the hospital. In the aftermath, Cass gained a newfound confidence, feeling victorious for outsmarting her enemies and exposing the truth. Though she still mourns her lost friendships and her turbulent past, she begins her journey toward healing with a stronger sense of self-trust, ready to face a future where she is finally free from manipulation and deception.
