On a dark, storm‑filled night, an escaped convict, an embezzler, a runaway daughter with her fiancé and her disapproving father, and a gangster all seek shelter at a secluded inn called The Black Raven, named after the nickname of its owner, a second gangster. Their uneasy coexistence quickly turns deadly when a murder occurs.
