Black Point

John Hawkins arrives in Black Point, Washington, and meets Gus and Natalie, a married couple who are new to town. He quickly notices bruises on Natalie that hint at abuse from Gus. The encounter foreshadows that the couple are hiding something dangerous.

John rescues Natalie from a suicide attempt, and they begin to find common ground. As they recover, he notices the bruising and she opens up slightly about Gus and the danger surrounding them. The night ends with John and Natalie sharing a private moment.

Gus and the rest of the gang return to confront them. John and Natalie manage to fight them off, but Natalie knocks John unconscious and tapes his hands, planning to kill him in the woods. John escapes before the plan can be carried out.

Natalie returns home, injures herself, and makes it look like John attacked her. She phones the sheriff to pin the incident on him, seeking to deflect attention from her own crimes. Meanwhile, more than $20,000 in jewelry is missing, triggering a pursuit by both law enforcement and the criminals.

Gus and his cronies locate Standing Bear, John's friend, and torture him for information about John's whereabouts. The town grows tenser as the criminals press for answers.

John takes Standing Bear to the clinic for care, hoping to keep him safe. On leaving, two of Gus's men seize him to take him to Gus. He refuses to cooperate, and Natalie says he was not one of the robbers, offering a partial alibi. Sheriff Lisa, aware the story isn't complete, reluctantly releases John for lack of evidence.

John visits Standing Bear in the clinic to check on him; two of Gus’s men confront him, trying to take him to meet Gus. He tells them to tell Gus that he’ll be at Flanagan’s Bar at 2:00, setting up the rendezvous.

At Flanagan's Bar, John tells Gus he wants Natalie in exchange for the missing money. Gus and his men kidnap John and Natalie and drag them into the woods. John uses his wits to overpower his captors and escape, while Natalie slips away by car after realizing she’s no longer on Gus’s side.

John discovers the bag of money at the Sea Vista Campground and calls Lisa to report the find. The discovery accelerates the convergence of all players toward the campground.

All major players converge on the campground for a final showdown. Natalie shoots and kills Gus, and John burns the money to erase the evidence and end the pursuit.

Lisa arrives last on the scene, and Natalie decides to tell all, finally exposing the truth. The revelation seals Natalie's fate as she is sent to prison.

John decides to leave the area to seek a fresh start with a job interview in San Francisco. He packs up and drives away from Black Point, hopeful for a new beginning.
