Raju, deprived of a mother's love since birth, witnesses Prem bring Lakshmi Devi into his life as a promised mother on his fifth birthday. To save Raju's life, Saraswati agrees to sign the property transfer papers after a doctor is summoned. Lakshmi Devi initially forbids the signing but ultimately backs down, showing a rare moment of remorse. The event highlights the high stakes of the family’s battle over wealth.

A confrontation erupts between Ramesh, Totaram, and the others. Raju nonetheless steps forward to prevent further violence and, in a surprising turn, saves Lakshmi Devi from being killed by Ramesh. This act redeems him and marks the turning point in the treachery.

Raju recovers and hands over the signed papers to Prem, completing the legal transfer portion of the plan. He affirms his loyalty to his father and to Saraswati, signaling the end of Lakshmi Devi's grip on the fortune. The family begins to rebuild trust.

Raju and Saraswati decide to leave the family home for a fresh start. Lakshmi Devi pleads with him not to go and tears up the papers to demonstrate remorse. She proclaims that all she wants is nothing more than 'her son' now that the truth is out.
