Surya lives in the shadow of his very wealthy stepbrother Vinayakan Naickar. Despite his own talent and ambitions, Surya struggles to make ends meet and relies on Vinayakan's monthly support. This dynamic sets the stage for his later risky schemes.

On a movie set, Manu tells Mammootty that he has a story he wants to turn into a film. Mammootty asks him to return with a complete script, suggesting potential collaboration. The brief encounter plants the seed for a possible partnership.

To secure funds, Manu introduces Surya as the producer and they approach Bhasi, a lender who offers the money at a very high interest rate. The desperation behind the project is clear as the loan is arranged under pressure. Disaster strikes when the production assistant steals the money and vanishes.

In a moment of panic, Surya tells Vinayakan that he recently got married and needs money. Vinayakan says he is too busy to come in person but will send the funds instead. The deception marks the beginning of a tangle of disguises meant to keep the project afloat.

Surya introduces Neethu, his girlfriend, as his wife to Vinayakan's advocate Uthaman to smooth the loan process. The ruse relies on convincing the advocate that the marriage is real, ensuring faster financial support.

While Neethu is in Bangkok with her father, Vinayakan comes to meet the couple. Out of desperation, Surya asks Manu's girlfriend Diya to act as Neethu to maintain the lie.

Neethu returns from Bangkok, but the mystery thickens as she must also play the role of Manu's girlfriend to keep the scheme believable. The ever-growing web of lies strains everyone involved.

To further complicate matters, they hire a servant named Thamara and Surya introduces her as Neethu's sister to Vinayakan during a home visit. Thamara's presence adds another layer to the deception and creates more friction.

With the deception spiraling, Surya and Manu keep juggling identities and alibis, hoping a careful facade will hold. The lies multiply, leading to new complications as the truth begins to surface.

The truth finally surfaces; Vinayakan reveals that he was aware of the deception all along and that Thamara was his wife sent to their home to gather facts.

With the real-life events exposed, Manu decides to adapt Surya's experiences into a film script. Mammootty is cast to play the real-life Vinayakan, turning Surya's troubles into cinema.

The movie's final scene brings the story to a close as Vinayakan congratulates Mammootty for his portrayal. The deception yields a creative triumph rather than a personal reckoning.
