When Ajay and Nisha finally reach Auschwitz, a survivor’s story forces him to confront his own neglect. For the first time he sees his wife not as a burden but as a person worth protecting, and when Nisha has a seizure he stays by her side, caring for her with genuine concern. That moment of compassion, sparked by the horrors of the past, becomes the turning point for Ajay’s character.

Back in Lucknow, the school committee convenes to decide his fate. Ajay openly acknowledges his failures as a teacher, but the students’ unexpectedly high marks—thanks to the history lessons he streamed from Europe—sway the panel. They decide to keep him on, granting him a second chance and restoring his standing with the MLA and his pupils.

The film closes with Ajay transformed, having earned both professional redemption and Nisha’s forgiveness. Their relationship is now built on a fragile, hard‑won respect rather than obligation, leaving the audience to wonder whether this newfound understanding will be enough to sustain their marriage.
