The story begins as Catherine Tramell finds herself speeding through the streets of London with football star Kevin Franks. Their reckless behavior escalates when Catherine uses Kevin's hand provocatively while pushing the car's speed to its limit.

During the exhilarating drive, Catherine loses control of the vehicle and crashes into the West India Docks located in Canary Wharf. The collision leaves Kevin trapped in the wreckage, with Catherine desperately trying to save him.

While struggling to free Kevin from the seatbelt, Catherine realizes she can't save him and escapes the wreckage on her own. As she swims to safety, Kevin is left in shock from the incident, a victim of her reckless actions.

Later questioned by authorities, Catherine indifferent to Kevin's fate, coldly states that her life mattered more than his. This reveals her self-centered mindset, setting the tone for the investigation that follows.

Detective Superintendent Roy Washburn of Scotland Yard starts his investigation into the crash and uncovers alarming evidence. A muscle relaxant, D-Tubocurarine, found in Catherine's vehicle and in Kevin’s system, suggests foul play.

The investigation deepens when Washburn reveals that Dicky Pep accused Catherine of purchasing the muscle relaxant days before the incident. Catherine dismisses Dicky's claims, asserting that he is only trying to wriggle out of legal trouble, casting doubt on his credibility.

Catherine begins therapy sessions with Dr. Michael Glass, who has been appointed to evaluate her. As he delves into her psyche for court testimony, he begins to suspect that she may be a narcissistic sociopath lacking any moral boundaries.

After being released on bail, Catherine's charm and wit enchant Dr. Glass as she begins to pull him into her web of psychological games. Despite Dr. Glass’s initial intentions to refer her to someone else, she successful manipulates him into becoming her patient.

As their sessions progress, Dr. Glass's life spirals into chaos due to his growing obsession with Catherine. Complications arise as he learns about the mysterious death of Adam Towers, his ex-wife's partner, who was planning to expose damaging secrets about him.

Catherine's manipulative nature surfaces as evidence begins to pile up against Dr. Glass. Multiple murders occur around him, including those of Dicky Pep and Denise, pushing him further into the depths of suspicion and despair amid his entanglement with Catherine.

In a heated confrontation at Catherine’s apartment, passions clash, leading to violent struggles between Dr. Glass and both Catherine and the police. The chaos escalates, revealing critical truths behind their tumultuous relationship.

Amid the clash, Catherine presents Glass with a draft of her novel titled The Analyst. This revelation exposes that she has intricately woven their tumultuous encounters into a narrative that immortalizes their chaotic entanglement.

The film crescendos in a mental hospital where Catherine visits Dr. Glass, revealing her master plan. With a sinister smile, she admits to orchestrating events that led him to commit the very murders that haunt him, leaving Glass ensnared in his turmoil.

As Catherine walks away from Glass, her victory is solidified. Dr. Glass, now trapped in a world of his own making, reflects on the chaos she unleashed, illustrating her mastery over him as a mere pawn in her twisted game.
