Bangkok Traffic Love Story

Mei Li, a 30-year-old who has never had a boyfriend, gets drunk at her friend Ped's wedding. She drives home intoxicated and crashes her car, and a handsome man helps her afterward. Back at home, her family scolds her and bans her from driving, forcing her to rely on public transport.

Her family scolds her for the crash and forbids her from driving. She is forced to commute by public transportation, changing her daily routine.

The next night, Mei Li finds the teenage maid and her boyfriend having sex on the rooftop. Mei Li's father asks to meet the boy's guardian, who turns out to be Loong—the man who helped her the night before.

Mei Li runs into Loong on the BTS Skytrain and accidentally breaks his sunglasses. She buys him a new pair and writes her phone number on the case, hoping he will call.

Mei Li and her neighbor Plern meet Loong at a video rental shop, and Plern cleverly obtains Loong's number but refuses to share it with Li. In retaliation, Li gathers Plern's three boyfriends at the store, causing a fracas that results in Loong's laptop being smashed.

Feeling responsible, Li takes Loong's laptop to Ped's husband, who can't fix it. She goes to the BTS office to return it; Loong finishes his shift and they ride the BTS home together. Loong discards the laptop and bag, and Li retrieves the bag from a garbage bin and brings it home, finding film negatives inside.

Li has the film negatives printed and discovers pictures of Loong with Kob Kavita, an actress from a popular series. The photo printing shop owner posts the pictures online due to the celebrity connection.

Li meets Loong again on the skytrain and explains that the pictures might have been published because of her, but Loong clarifies that Kob Kavita is his ex-girlfriend and their breakup was due to mismatched schedules.

Li and Loong decide to watch the stars at the Bangkok Planetarium and see an exhibition about a comet that will appear soon. They visit the planetarium together and share the moment.

Before the Songkran holidays, Loong asks Li to travel around Bangkok with him and to join him for the festival as they celebrate together.

During the Songkran festival, Plern joins them. Li goes to Loong's guesthouse near the Chao Phraya River, finds him asleep, and falls asleep beside him, sharing a quiet moment that deepens their bond.

Loong invites Li to family day at the BTS depot and reveals he will leave in two days to study in Germany for two years. The news hangs over their budding romance as they shoulder the goodbye.

They say goodbye on the Taksin Bridge as Loong prepares to depart for Germany. He sends Li a box containing a mirror from her car, the damaged sunglasses, the broken laptop, Bangkok Planetarium tickets, and the memory card from the camera. Li hurries to Suvarnabhumi Airport to try to stop him, but she is too late. On the day of departure, the comet orbits the earth as Loong watches from his plane while Li watches from the ground.

Two years later, Mei Li unexpectedly meets Loong again on a BTS Skytrain; he has returned to Thailand and works a day shift. They ride to Siam Station, and after Li steps off to change lines, a train outage traps them together again. When the service resumes, Loong is beside her and urges her to save his number for Songkran.
