The teacher explains a troubled upbringing and reveals she finished a teacher training course at 14 thanks to local politicians. A local newspaper branded her as a prostitute after her success, so she moved to a different city to protect her family and sister's wedding.

Karna invites an MLA for an inauguration, during which the MLA tries to molest a child named Keerthi. Karna realises his political career could be jeopardized and stays quiet to avoid trouble.

The teacher intervenes to save Keerthi from the MLA and is injured in the process. Keerthi becomes traumatized by the incident and withdraws from school.

Shivappa learns of the incident and turns against Karna, who is constrained by his standing. Police refuse to take action due to Karna's status and lack of solid proof.

During temple worship, Keerthi drowns herself, a tragic consequence of the earlier trauma. The community is left to grapple with the loss and its causes.

The teacher goes to file a police complaint, leaving Shivappa and Vaataapi confused since Keerthi is already dead. She is taken to Karna's celebration venue by the MLA's PA, where Shivappa also arrives, highlighting the tangled loyalties at play.

The complaint shows that after saving Keerthi, the MLA assaulted the teacher. This revelation ties the MLA's actions directly to the incident and implicates the circle around Karna.

Karna and Shivappa clash; Shivappa defeats Karna and reminds him that it is their duty to protect women. The confrontation tests their loyalties and ethics.

Inspector Sarang explains that pursuing a formal complaint is unnecessary because Karna is already in prison. Karna reveals that he killed the MLA at his residence to avenge Keerthi and to take the blame himself, completing his vengeance for Keerthi's death.
