Badrinath

Bheeshma Narayan selects Badri, a shepherd's son, and begins training him as a skilled warrior and the temple's protector. He hones Badri into a disciplined samurai guided by devotion to Badrinath. The early years are spent at the ashram and training grounds near the temple.

Badri meets Alakananda, an atheist woman, after he cures her ill grandfather. He punishes her by throwing her into the river when she blows out a lamp at the temple. He later relents and rescues her when Bheeshma orders him to spare her life.

Alakananda is ordered to light 1 lakh lamps as punishment for her impiety. Badri convinces her to perform the ritual with devotion, hoping to rekindle her faith. The act becomes a turning point for both of them as faith slowly returns.

Alakananda's grandfather explains how she became atheist after a temple fire that killed her parents. Her aunt resents her and seeks to marry her off to her own son Nani as revenge. The family politics set up the looming arranged marriage conflict.

Badri performs Pind Daan for Alakananda's deceased parents, reviving her connection to the divine. She begins to see him in a new light as her faith—and trust—returns. This spiritual bond soon deepens into affection.

Badri is summoned to guard the Amarnath Temple after the protector is killed. He eliminates a group of terrorists with his sword and is publicly introduced by Bheeshma as the temple's protector. Alakananda witnesses his prowess, strengthening their bond.

Alakananda's parents reluctantly agree to Badri and Alakananda's marriage. However, Bheeshma reveals that Badri must remain celibate to fulfill his destiny as his successor. The revelation casts a shadow over their budding relationship.

Badri promises to unite Alakananda with her true love by helping her offer a Brahma lotus. They journey into the mountains to retrieve the sacred flower, testing their resolve and strengthening their bond. The trek deepens their commitment despite looming dangers.

Sarkar, hearing about Badri from Amarnath incident footage, orders his henchman Nani to retrieve Alakananda. The pursuit shifts from temple grounds to a broader and more dangerous battlefield. Alakananda's safety becomes a central objective for both sides.

Badri and Alakananda race toward the temple while being pursued by Sarkar's men. Badri guards her from capture and allows her to enter the temple so she can make her wish. The chase tests their courage and dedication to their intertwined fates.

Alakananda declares her love for Badri even as Bheeshma insists he become the successor. The conflict between romance and duty comes to a head within the sacred space. The two confront their futures as the temple locks down further ahead.

While Badri is momentarily distracted, Nani throws a statue into the river and Badri dives in to retrieve it. He fights through henchmen, but is stabbed by Nani and blamed for being in love with Alakananda. The lines between loyalty and affection blur.

The temple closes for six months as Badri recuperates. Alakananda is arranged to marry Nani after Sarkar kills her grandfather, complicating their quest for union. The separation tests their resolve and faith.

Alakananda writes a letter to Badri asking for help, which Bheeshma tears up. Badri finds the torn note and replies using the same mountain soil he once used to cure her grandfather. A subtle, enduring communication reaffirms their bond.

In Badri's and Bheeshma's absence, Sarkar attacks Badrinath; Badri returns and massacres his henchmen at Bellary railway station, then impales Nani to rescue Alakananda. He finally confronts Sarkar in a knife duel, defeats him, and spares him on the condition never pursue Alakananda again. The lovers are blessed at the temple, and their future child is hinted as a training candidate for the temple’s protection.
