The officers discover alcohol in the car, and the excise team’s grip on Koshy grows rough. Tempers flare and the situation quickly spirals: Koshy lashes out at the excise inspector, Faizal, while Ayyappan Nair steps in to restrain him. The trouble deepens as Koshy’s arrest leads to an FIR being filed in the local records, and the police soon learn that Koshy isn’t just an ordinary traveler—his phone holds contacts of powerful political and media figures, and he discloses himself as the son of a ruthless political leader, Kurian John, known for his hard‑edged ways.

Seeing the stakes, the local CI and the station crew weigh options. Ayyappan Nair, a native of the area with a few years left before retirement, decides to handle things cautiously. He refuses an early homecoming for Koshy, even as the latter claims to want to spend Christmas with family and promises to serve any jail time. The tension rises when Koshy pretends to meltdown and begs for alcohol, a ruse that leads to Jessy—the CPO—being drawn into the fallout.
