Olympic medallist, professional heavyweight boxer Baldev Singh Choudhary is disgraced during the World Heavyweight Boxing Championship when a betting syndicate falsely accuses him of doping. He tries to erase this stain upon his honour by training up his son, Angad Choudhary, but financial difficulties keep them from achieving his dream, straining their relationship and testing their resolve.
Baldev’s younger son Karan Choudhary, an aspiring musician with a paralyzed arm, has just released his first album. Baldev leads an effort to keep the family afloat by training a local boy for a high-profile TV boxing show, only to be dropped in favor of a more celebrated coach at the last minute. Baldev, very upset at this setback, is consoled by Karan, who overcomes his paralysis in a moment of emotional intensity.
Inspired by his father’s heartbreak, Karan sacrifices his own dream of a musical career to become a boxer and please his father. He commits to the rigorous training, pushing through pain and doubt, and wins a string of early fights in the hope that each victory will bring the family back together. The final showdown pits him against the current world heavyweight champion, but he is tricked and ends up paralyzed in a hospital bed.
Baldev, who hoped to wash away the stigma, now faces the looming possibility of losing his son. When Karan reveals the world heavyweight champion cheated, Angad decides to return to boxing and win the title for his father. Though Angad is badly injured in a bout, he survives and triumphs in the end. Meanwhile, Karan’s condition worsens as liver damage threatens his life, and a transplant becomes a desperate necessity. Baldev pleads with the doctors to donate his liver for his son, but they refuse. In a stroke of luck, an unknown donor provides a liver to Karan, offering a second chance at life. In the final, Baldev—who was prepared to give up everything for Karan—emerges grateful and hopeful, ready to cherish his family together.
