Anaconda 3: Offspring

Animal hunter Stephen Hammett, [Ege Güner], leads a mission to capture an enormous anaconda from the Amazon and transport it to a Romanian genetic research facility owned by Wexel Hall, where Professor Kane, Șerban Celea, is developing a serum for the Blood Orchid. The project is overseen by Dr. Amanda Hayes, [Crystal Allen](/actor/crystal-allen, and funded by Peter “J.D.” Murdoch, John Rhys-Davies. During a routine visit, Amanda warns Murdoch that the facility is ill-equipped to handle the creature, which has grown to an unprecedented size. Murdoch, eager to provoke a breakthrough, shone a large flashlight at the beast, sending it into a violent frenzy. As Murdoch, his assistant Pinkus, and scientist Daryl, Alin Constantinescu, prepare to leave, the enclosure’s wall buckles under the creature’s power, and it bursts free, slaughtering several workers in its path. Amanda and Kane quickly realize the anaconda has also freed its queen, and the two scientists are soon overpowered as the snake coils around them, crushing Kane and biting his head off. Murdoch calls Hammett to step in, and the hunt for both snakes begins. They head to a small farm in the woods where the owner is eaten alive, signaling the danger they face.

The hunting party regroups and formulates a plan of attack. In the first clash, two hunters fall: Grozny, who is stabbed by the snake’s razor-like tail, and Dragosh, who loses his head to the monster. The attack also wrecks one of the team’s vehicles. Hammett arrives to deliver a stern briefing on how to kill the beast. The group splits up, and Amanda travels with two others, Victor, Toma Dănilă, and Sofia, Mihaela Elena Oros, in a remaining car. In the next confrontation, the anaconda spits corrosive venom into Victor’s face, and the car crashes, leaving Victor dead and Sofia with a broken leg. When Amanda attempts to move to help, the snake reappears and drags Sofia away, while Amanda is rescued by Hammett, and they manage to escape.

As the survivors regroup, Amanda reluctantly reveals that the queen snake is pregnant and will give birth to more genetically “special” offspring in less than a day. The team debates calling in the military, but Hammett refuses and warns Amanda that she could face jail for her role in creating the creature. The next morning, they search again, finding only Sofia’s corpse that the snake regurgitated earlier. Pinkus, Ryan McCluskey, is fatally stabbed by the Dracanaconda, and Hammett tracks the snakes on foot. Amanda and one of the remaining hunters, Nick, Patrick Regis, spot the snakes entering an old factory and follow them inside to plant charges.

Before they can finish, the snake attacks Nick, impaling him with its tail; he sacrifice-discharges a grenade that kills both himself and the snake. Hammett, accompanied by Andrei, Alan O’Silva, arrives and, as Andrei moves to set the charges, Hammett shoots him, seizing control of the mission. Inside the factory, the queen gives birth. After wounding Hammett, Amanda triggers the bomb and escapes, leaving Hammett to fight the newborns as the explosives detonate. The blast wipes out Hammett, the queen, and the newborn snakes. In a final twist, Murdoch’s man Peter Reysner drives by, collects one surviving baby snake, and delivers it to Murdoch, while Amanda, burning all her documentation, walks away from the wreckage with a cold resolve to start anew.
