Hemanth, a successful advertising executive, welcomes his childhood friend Abhishek, who is staying with the family. Abhishek is visibly depressed after Shruti's death from cancer and has been asked by Shruti to promise that he would remarry after her death. The visit plants the seeds of a troubling fixation on Veena, who bears a strong resemblance to Shruti.

As days pass, Abhishek grows obsessed with Veena due to her striking resemblance to Shruti. Hemanth senses the dangerous distraction but keeps silent, not compromising Veena's safety or trust.

Hemanth confronts Abhishek about the advances toward Veena and warns him to back off. He asks Abhishek to return home before things get worse, underscoring that Veena's life should not be entangled in their drama.

A few days later, the trio of Hemanth, Veena, and Abhishek, along with the firm’s employees, travel to Kodaikanal for a company trip. On the outing, tensions simmer as Abhishek's fixation lurks behind his outward calm.

Abhishek drives Hemanth to a cliff in an off-road vehicle so Hemanth can photograph the sunset. During the ride, Hemanth chides Abhishek for his advances toward Veena and urges him to return home.

At the cliff, Abhishek, in a desperate move, shifts the vehicle into neutral hoping it will plunge Hemanth over the edge. Hemanth barely survives and is left hanging over the abyss.

Veena is distraught after her husband's apparent death. Friends urge Abhishek to stay with Veena at her residence until she recovers.

Veena learns of Abhishek's true intentions and confides in her friend Dr. Vimala. She also obtains the negatives from Hemanth's motorised camera and develops them, which reveal Abhishek's presence and his actions on that day. The footage shows Abhishek watching as Hemanth pleads for help and Abhishek does not intervene.

Veena pretends to have moved on and publicly declares that she is ready to marry Abhishek. The announcement sets the stage for the next, fateful confrontation.

A day later, Veena asks Abhishek to take her to the cliff where Hemanth died, fulfilling his long-cherished dream to photograph there. The request places Abhishek back on the deadly ground where the truth will be revealed.

At the cliff, Veena confronts Abhishek and reveals that she knows what really happened that day. She hands him the developed photographs, proving his guilt beyond doubt.

In front of Abhishek, Veena leaps to her death from the cliff as an act of revenge for the past betrayal. The scene closes with Abhishek facing the consequences of his actions.
