Alvin and the Chipmunks

Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, the three chipmunk friends, find themselves alone in their snug fir tree home after their parents depart. They are left to navigate life on their own, enjoying the peacefulness of their environment.

Their serene existence abruptly changes when their tree is cut down and shipped to Los Angeles. The tree becomes a beautiful Christmas tree for JETT Records, marking the start of a new adventure.

Meanwhile, struggling songwriter Dave Seville wrestles with rejection from Ian Hawke, his former college mate. Ian's harsh suggestion to give up his dreams leaves Dave disheartened and questioning his career.

The Chipmunks stumble upon a basket of muffins discarded by Dave and follow him home. Initially unnoticed, it isn't long before Dave discovers their presence and is caught off guard by their antics.

When Dave accidentally witnesses the Chipmunks performing songs like 'Only You (And You Alone)' and 'Funkytown,' he becomes entranced by their musical talents. This marks the beginning of a unique partnership between them.

Dave proposes a deal where the Chipmunks would perform his songs in exchange for food and shelter. This mutually beneficial arrangement helps them both pursue their dreams, with Dave inspired by their nightly chirps.

Excited about their newfound partnership, Dave introduces the Chipmunks to Ian. However, their performance suffers from stage fright, leading to a disappointing reception and ultimately costing Dave his advertising job.

A dinner invitation for Claire, an old flame of Dave's, turns awkward when Alvin tries to create a romantic atmosphere. Claire feels uncomfortable and ends up leaving, adding to the strain in Dave's personal life.

Determined to prove themselves, the Chipmunks visit Ian's lavish home and successfully perform 'Christmas Don't Be Late.' This impresses Ian and revives Dave's songwriting position at JETT, leading to renewed hope.

As the Chipmunks' fame escalates, Dave becomes increasingly worried about the pressures they face under Ian's direction. Misleadingly convinced that Dave is a hindrance, the Chipmunks mistakenly choose to follow Ian on a grueling tour.

On their national tour, Ian exploits the Chipmunks' naivety, pushing them to their limits. Despite their initial excitement, the demanding schedule takes a toll on the trio, leading to exhaustion.

After learning about Ian's plans for a lengthy global tour, Dave realizes he must rescue the Chipmunks. He sets out to save them during one of their concerts at the Orpheum Theatre.

At the concert, a wise veterinarian informs Ian that the Chipmunks' voices are strained from overwork. Instead of canceling, Ian insists the trio lip-sync, prioritizing appearances over their well-being.

With help from Claire, Dave sneakily infiltrates the concert. The Chipmunks, upon hearing Dave's voice, discover Ian's deception and plot to create chaos during the performance to expose him.

Just as Ian prepares to cage them for a tour, Dave escapes with the Chipmunks in a dramatic chase. Their reunion leads to a heartfelt reconciliation, and Ian is left to confront the fallout of his ambition.
