Alien Apocalypse

After a 40-year mission, Dr. Ivan Hood and two fellow astronauts return to Earth. They are soon captured by human bounty hunters near the ruins of Portland, Oregon. The captives are transported to a work camp controlled by giant termite-like aliens.

The captives are taken to a work camp run by termite-like aliens who arrived two decades earlier to feed on Earth's resources and who used EMP bombs to cripple the planet. The camp is supervised by human bounty hunters, though the humans are treated more orderly than the alien guards. From the outset, the captives witness the brutal system in place.

Inside the camp, a team member dies after sustaining a sprain; Hood notes that the injury would have healed in a few days under normal circumstances. The danger escalates when another member is eaten alive by an alien after refusing to work. The loss catalyzes Hood and Kelly to consider escape.

Hood and Kelly observe how illiterate and savage behaviors have flourished under alien rule, deepening their resolve to escape. They exchange rumors and whispered hope about the President surviving and leading a resistance. The moral contrast between leadership and prisoners sharpens their motivation.

An escape plan is set into motion and goes off without a hitch, enabling Hood and several others to break away from the camp. They manage to flee the immediate guards and head toward potential allies. However, Kelly is recaptured by pursuing bounty hunters soon after.

Hood's convoy reaches a hidden headquarters where remnants of the American government linger and they meet the President, who is a shell of his former self. The encounter reveals a fractured leadership and a hint of renewed resolve. Hood's determination stiffens as he contemplates a broader uprising.

Armed with news of a surviving government, Hood rallies the escaped slaves and plans an attack on the bug camp where Kelly is held. The plan aligns the prisoner uprising with the President's faction. Momentum builds as they gather supporters from the camps.

The attack on the bug camp commences with the rebels applying their strategy against the alien guards. Kelly joins the fighting after losing a finger as punishment for attempting to escape. The initial assault pushes the aliens back and demonstrates the growing strength of the human resistance.

The President's group arrives and orchestrates a sneak attack that destroys the invaders' tanks. This critical strike shifts the battle in humanity's favor. The combined forces of Hood's slaves and the President's faction overwhelm the alien camp.

With victory achieved, Hood expands the rebellion to other camps and continues to kill the alien threat. He gathers more followers from various enclaves, and his notoriety grows among the resistance. In time he becomes known as The Great Exterminator.
