Abhishek Hegde had first fallen in love with a young model, Anjali.
In a tense flashback, Anjali is mistaken to be Abhishek’s girlfriend and suddenly sees herself offered with many new modelling opportunities. He tries to confront her when news breaks about an affair, yet the moment deepens his feelings for her. The two confess their love, but tragedy strikes: Anjali dies in an accident just as they are embracing, when Abhishek’s car collides with a lorry.
Anjali’s family disapproves of her decision to marry Abhishek, and he is left to hear that she has married the person she was engaged to. They do not bother to visit him or tell him that Anjali has actually died, even while he lies in a hospital bed recovering from injuries. Abhishek’s grandfather had even faked Anjali’s wedding invitation in an attempt to shield him from further heartbreak. This revelation fuels a growing anger in Abhishek and seeds a cynical view that all women might be like Anjali.
Years later, Aishwarya Pai joins the company where Abhishek works as an assistant manager, a position at odds with his pride and wounded sense of self. The company is owned by his paternal uncle. After a few days, she manages to unseat him from his job in a bold move, taking over the role of manager. With his options dwindling, he speaks to his aunt, only to be interrupted by his stern uncle. Ultimately, he accepts the available vacancy as the only option left to him.
Aishwarya and Abhishek are soon sent on a ten-day business trip to Vienna, where they begin to understand and influence one another. Her assertive, fun-loving nature begins to transform him, and the two slowly fall in love, even as they hesitate to admit it. Aishwarya is aware that her engagement is being arranged by a conservative family from Mandya, complicating their budding feelings.
As the trip progresses, both realize their true feelings and finally voice them. Desperate to safeguard their romance, Abhishek races to reach Aishwarya—who is on a boat en route to her wedding venue. He arrives just in time to shout out her name, and she dives into the river in response. Their reunion is sealed as they declare their love for one another, and the story closes on a joyful note with the two of them choosing to marry.
