Accident Man

Mike Fallon earns his living by disguising assassinations as accidents. After finishing off an accountant named Archie Rudd, he receives a call from Milton that assigns the next set of missions. The Oasis is shown as the hub for his world and the regulars around him.

Milton instructs Mike to receive payment for the job in an alley. An amateur assassin ambushes Mike there, but Mike kills the attacker and survives. The assault makes him suspect that Milton may have set him up.

Mike accuses Milton of a setup, but Milton denies it. He then learns that Beth, his ex-girlfriend, has been murdered in a botched burglary and was pregnant. Mike steals the police report and deduces that Mick and Mac were behind the hit, even if they deny knowing the client.

Mike confronts Mick and Mac with his suspicions. They confess to killing Beth but insist they didn't know who ordered it. Mike defeats them in a fight, and Big Ray warns him never to get emotionally involved in this line of work.

Mike goes to Beth's apartment and questions her girlfriend Charlie about Beth's environmental activities. Cliff bursts in and attacks Charlie, and Mike inadvertently kills Cliff during the chaotic struggle. He then begins tracing Milton to force a confession.

Mike tracks down Milton and tortures him to reveal who ordered Beth's hit. Milton names a man named Leonard Kent as the orderer. The revelation drives Mike toward the next phase of his personal vendetta.

Big Ray reluctantly orders a hit on Mike for killing Cliff. The decision underscores how their code has begun to fray and puts Mike in immediate danger. Mike steels himself for the fallout.

15-year-old Mike is bullied daily as a paperboy. He notices a man walking away from a house that explodes moments later and secretly records him. He confronts the man and uses blackmail to learn the assassin trade; Big Ray takes him as an apprentice and his first kill is the bullies' leader, with Ray keeping incriminating photographs and warning Mike never to betray him.

Back in the present, Charlie reveals that Beth had collected information on Pankot Petroleum, provided by Archie Rudd. Mike confronts Kent, who plays a recording of another man ordering Beth's murder. The discovery connects Beth's information to a larger conspiracy and escalates the investigation.

Mick and Mac arrive at Kent's location and kill Kent, while Mac is killed by friendly fire. Mike bludgeons Mick with a fire extinguisher, continuing his ruthless pursuit of Beth's killers. The body count rises as loyalties blur.

Pete ambushes Mike outside the building, but Mike kills him easily. He spares Fred by knocking him out, preserving him for the moment. The violence continues to escalate as Mike presses on.

Mike goes to the house of Kent's employer, oil tycoon Atal Zim. At Zim's house, he uses Jane the Ripper's katana to kill Jane and decapitates Zim after rejecting Zim's bribery.

Back at Oasis, Mike confronts Milton and watches the rest of Kent's recording, which reveals Milton ordered Mike killed and assigned Mick, Mac, and Cliff to finish loose ends. Big Ray assaults Milton and Mike offers him a band-aid that Fred had developed for poisoning; Milton applies the bandage and dies. Big Ray allows Mike to leave, warning him never to return to Oasis.

Mike leaves Oasis and vows to protect the city as a vigilante. He steps into the night prepared to enforce his own brand of justice outside the covert world he used to inhabit.
