In a world shrouded in espionage and deception, MI6 agent James Bond (James Bond) embarks on a perilous journey to the frigid wilderness of Siberia. His mission is twofold: to recover the remains of his fallen comrade, 003, and to secure a Soviet microchip that has fallen into the hands of the rogue contractor Zorin Industries. Back at Q’s laboratory, the inventive genius scrutinizes the microchip, discovering it’s engineered to withstand an electromagnetic pulse—a testament to Zorin Industries’ innovative prowess.

As Bond digs deeper into this enigma, he finds himself amidst the excitement of Ascot Racecourse, where he meets the enigmatic Max Zorin (Max Zorin), owner of Zorin Industries. Alongside him is Sir Godfrey Tibbett (Sir Godfrey Tibbett), a seasoned racehorse trainer and MI6 operative, who suspects foul play, convinced that Zorin’s horses are being drugged to secure their victories. Despite tests proving otherwise, Tibbett’s hunch pushes Bond to investigate further. He encounters French private detective Achille Aubergine (Achille Aubergine), who warns Bond of an upcoming horse sale orchestrated by Zorin—a sale laden with peril.

During a dinner atop the famed Eiffel Tower, Aubergine becomes a victim of May Day’s lethal skills, dispatched by Zorin to eliminate threats. Motivated to uncover the truth, Bond and Tibbett infiltrate Zorin’s estate during the much-awaited horse sale, where intrigue and deception reign. Bond is drawn to a mysterious woman who initially rebuffs him, only to later learn that Zorin has just written her a staggering check for $5 million. Under the silver of night, they stealthily navigate Zorin’s laboratory, unveiling a chilling reality: Zorin has been implanting adrenaline-releasing devices in horses to boost their performance. However, their mission spirals into chaos when Zorin recognizes Bond as an MI6 agent and instructs May Day to eliminate Tibbett.

In a dramatic turn, General Gogol confronts Zorin, revealing his KGB connections and that Zorin has strayed from the organization’s path, becoming a rogue agent. With the stakes rising, Bond travels to San Francisco, where he allies with CIA agent Chuck Lee (Chuck Lee), who reveals the dark origins of Zorin’s past. Lee discloses that Zorin is a product of medical enhancements initiated by Dr. Carl Mortner, a former Nazi scientist turned unethical veterinarian.

As the investigation leads Bond to Zorin’s oil rig, he discovers KGB agent Pola Ivanova (Pola Ivanova) eavesdropping and setting explosives. Drama unfolds as Bond and Ivanova narrowly escape an explosion. Later, Bond mischievously swaps tapes, leaving Ivanova with nothing of value. As Bond deepens his inquiry, he encounters the enigmatic Stacey Sutton (Stacey Sutton), revealing how Zorin has been manipulating her family’s oil dealings. Together, they attempt to expose Zorin’s sinister schemes by examining his official proposals at San Francisco City Hall, unaware that Zorin has set a deadly trap to thwart their investigation.

With the Chief Geologist dispatched and the building engulfed in flames, Bond and Stacey execute a daring escape, commandeering a fire truck. Deeper investigations into Zorin’s mines uncover his malevolent plot to unleash disaster upon Silicon Valley via explosives. As Zorin and his merciless security chief Scarpine seal off the mine and eliminate the workers, the chaos builds. Stacey escapes, but Bond engages in fierce combat with May Day. A pivotal moment arises when May Day, realizing Zorin has abandoned her, teams up with Bond, enabling him to stave off disaster using a handcar to transport the bomb out of the mine just before it detonates.

The climactic showdown escalates as Zorin pilots his airship, snatching Stacey in the process. Bond seizes this moment to board the airship, tying himself to its mooring rope. Zorin’s attempts to dislodge him fail, as Bond brilliantly secures the airship to the Golden Gate Bridge. In the ensuing chaos, Stacey and Bond fight back against Zorin and his associates, eventually escaping the drifting airship as it meets its fate. Zorin’s own devices lead to his downfall, as he plummets from the bridge, while Mortner, desperate, attempts to annihilate Bond with explosives. In a showcase of brilliance and cunning, Bond outmaneuvers Mortner, severing the airship’s mooring line, sending it crashing down and securing victory once more for the agent. General Gogol honors Bond with the Order of Lenin, a testament to his bravery in thwarting Zorin’s nefarious plans.
