A Night at the Roxbury

Steve and Doug Butabi, two wealthy Yemeni American brothers, thrive on the nightlife of Los Angeles by frequently attending clubs. They immerse themselves in the rhythms of Eurodance while trying to charm women, though their attempts are met with mixed results.

Despite their enthusiasm, the brothers often get ejected from various clubs due to complaints about their behavior. Their desire to gain entry into the prestigious Roxbury Club remains unfulfilled as a strict bouncer consistently denies them access.

While driving to a club, Steve receives an $80 ticket from a striking police officer, which he tries to flirt with unsuccessfully. This incident symbolizes the brothers' ongoing struggles in their romantic pursuits despite their wealth.

Steve and Doug live together in a shared room and work at their family-owned artificial plant store. Their father, Kamehl Butabi, owns the store, which reflects the brothers' privileged lifestyle but also their lack of motivation to work hard.

The brothers fantasize about launching their own nightclub where anyone can feel like a celebrity. Doug tries to flirt with a telephone operator, using his credit card responsibilities as a cover for his interest.

After enjoying a sun-soaked day at the beach, Steve and Doug resolve that tonight will be the night they finally enter the Roxbury Club. However, a clash with their father over skipping dinner disrupts their plans.

As punishment for skipping dinner, their father restricts their privileges, limiting their access to the BMW and instead giving them the dilapidated delivery van from their store. Despite this setback, they try to make their way to the Roxbury.

A chance meeting with actor Richard Grieco after a minor car accident opens a door for the Butabi brothers. They leverage his fame to get past the bouncer and finally gain entrance to the highly coveted Roxbury Club.

Once inside the club, Steve and Doug pitch their idea of creating a nightclub where the outside mirrors the inside to the owner, Benny Zadir. Benny is intrigued by their concept and agrees to meet with them again, igniting hopes of their dreams materializing.

During their time at the club, Doug and Steve are mistaken for wealthy individuals by two women named Vivica and Cambi. This leads to unexpected romantic entanglements as the brothers enjoy the spotlight, but trouble brews as their true financial situation looms over them.

The following day, the brothers face a setback when Zadir's driver, Dooey, denies them access to their follow-up meeting. He falsely claims that Zadir had been inebriated and forgot about their meeting, leading to frustration and dismay for the Butabi brothers.

As the women discover Steve and Doug's true financial circumstances, they break off their relationships with the brothers. This realization results in a fallout, causing a rift between the formerly excited duo and forcing them to confront their failures.

Just as Steve is about to enter a forced engagement with Emily, orchestrated by their father, Doug makes a flamboyant and comedic entrance. His unexpected arrival attempts to disrupt the backyard ceremony, leading to a humorous reconciliation of the brothers.

After mending their relationship with their father, Steve and Doug discover a brand-new club that mirrors the vision they pitched to Zadir. Shocked to find their names on the VIP list, they realize their journey has come full circle.

In a twist of fate, Benny Zadir honors their creativity by making them part-owners of the new club. As the brothers bump into the women from their past, new sparks of potential romance emerge, showcasing their growth and desire for a fresh start.
