A Low Down Dirty Shame

Shame leads a team into Mexico to capture drug lord Ernesto Mendoza. In a fierce firefight, Mendoza is believed dead while the other detectives are killed, and Shame and Sonny Rothmiller survive. The mission ends in disgrace, forcing Shame to leave the LAPD.

In the present day, Rothmiller reveals Mendoza is alive and hires Shame to bring him to justice. Shame is asked to locate the only witness who can testify against Mendoza: Angela. Although reluctant at first, Shame sees an opportunity to settle old scores and salvage his career.

Shame learns about Mendoza's lieutenant Luis and tracks him to a restaurant. Luis warns Mendoza's presence and suggests caution, tipping Shame off to the wider threat. This leads Shame toward Mendoza's operation in Los Angeles.

Back at Shame's home, Mendoza's henchmen ambush him and warn him to back off. Mendoza himself appears alive and taunts Shame, escalating the danger. The encounter confirms Mendoza's reach extends beyond Shame's past investigations.

Shame, Peaches, and Wayman close in on Angela, tracing her to a posh Los Angeles hotel. Angela explains Mendoza tracked her down after she planned to testify, forcing her to flee. Shame and his team barely escape Mendoza's thugs, realizing the case is more dangerous than expected.

Shame abducts Luis and drags him to an abandoned building to pressure him for Mendoza's whereabouts. Luis refuses to talk until pressed, and the situation spirals toward a white supremacist gathering where he finally yields the location in exchange for safety. Shame walks away, leaving Luis to the mercy of his captors.

At a club, Shame and Mendoza trade threats and prepare for a standoff. Mendoza uses his date as a hostage, and Wayman's distraction buys him a moment to slip away. The confrontation heightens the personal stakes for Shame.

Shame learns Angela has vanished after the hotel incident; Peaches and Angela had argued earlier, and Captain Nunez orders Peaches into protective custody. Shame heads into the city to locate Angela.

Shame meets Angela at a storage locker and learns the real reason Mendoza wants her: she stole $20 million of his money. The revelation escalates the danger and deepens Shame's resolve to protect her and finish Mendoza.

Back at a motel, Mendoza informs Shame that Peaches has been kidnapped and will be exchanged for Angela and the money. Shame and Angela agree to meet Mendoza at a Mendoza-owned shopping mall to complete the deal.

During the mall exchange, Mendoza discovers Angela is a mannequin, and Peaches begins shooting with a hidden gun. Shame fights off Mendoza's mercenaries while Luis is attacked by the guard dogs and Sonny is killed by Angela.

Shame defeats Mendoza in a fistfight and arrests him, but Angela fatally shoots Mendoza. Angela then aims at Shame, but Peaches intervenes to disarm her. Captain Nunez threatens to arrest Shame, yet Shame reminds him of his achievements and Nunez reluctantly lets him go.

With Mendoza defeated, Shame pockets $5 million for expenses as his agency gains traction. Peaches enjoys the perks of a budding romance with Shame, and the case closes as Shame contemplates the future of A Low Down Dirty Shame Investigations.
