A Film by Aravind

Two childhood friends Aravind and Rishi, both passionate about filmmaking, chase recognition in a crowded industry. Their perseverance pays off when Aravind directs two blockbuster films starring [Rishi], establishing their names in the industry. For their next project, Aravind seeks a fresh concept and opens submissions from new writers, hoping to uncover a story that could match or surpass their earlier triumphs. A standout comes from a new writer, Anantha Sriram, though the pages are smudged with ink after the 60th page, which only deepens Aravind’s curiosity and resolve to find the author behind the words.

Motivated by the story, the duo sets off on a road trip to a remote guesthouse, hoping the journey will spark the final touches needed for their third film. Along the way, they cross paths with Nirupama, a young woman they rescue from a group of goons, and she joins their voyage for a time. Nirupama asks Rishi to overtake a mysterious “black car” ahead of them, and he complies, speeding past just as the car is struck by a truck. Oblivious to the danger of that accident, they press onward, drawn by the lure of the road and the promise of inspiration.

At a secluded cottage, romantic tensions rise: Rishi begins to fall for Nirupama, while Aravind finds himself entangled by her as well. The situation grows more intense as they realize the unfolding events eerily mirror the plot of the partially read script—the idea that two friends could clash over a woman seems to be coming true before their eyes. The closer they get to Nirupama, the more the line between fiction and reality blurs, and the fear that the woman at the center of the prophecy might be dangerous grows stronger.

In a bid to keep the story on track, Aravind reaches out to the scriptwriter in the woods to finish the tale. Anantha Sriram explains that the woman at the heart of their conflict is a psychopath who could kill one of the friends, turning the thriller into a dire warning. With this new information, Aravind warns Rishi to stay away from Nirupama, yet Rishi remains stubbornly determined to pursue love and, if necessary, elope. The tension mounts as Aravind learns there is a real psychopath in the vicinity, which only strengthens his suspicion that Nirupama might be connected to the danger.

Desperate to protect his friend, Aravind contemplates drastic action, even planning to eliminate Nirupama to save Rishi. But the scriptwriter’s intervention shifts the momentum again, transforming the plan from a dark thriller into a romance. As the narrative twists, reality shifts with it: Rishi survives, but Aravind is killed by the psychopath—the very figure tied to the earlier car accident in the news. The revelation clarifies that the psychopath was the passenger in the “black car” who orchestrated her revenge by blaming Rishi and his circle for the crash. In the aftermath, a grieving Rishi must confront his fear and anger, and he ultimately defeats the psychopath, bringing a grim closure to the intertwined fate of friendship, love, and storytelling.
