Shiva is introduced as a cheerful young man who champions love marriages and helps couples wed against parental opposition. He acts as a devoted matchmaker who believes love should triumph over tradition. His upbeat philosophy sets the tone for the film and motivates many of the early events.

On a train, Shiva spots Tanu loudly proposing to him from a nearby field, thinking it is real. In reality, Tanu is performing an audition. Misreading the scene, Shiva jumps off the train and starts approaching her, while she runs away, sparking a chaotic pursuit.

Shiva tracks Tanu to a school where she is rehearsing for a theatre act. He believes she has fallen for him, but Tanu repeatedly rejects his advances. The misunderstanding deepens as she maintains distance and continues her rehearsal.

Shiva tries to orchestrate his friend Rishi's marriage to Tanu's lover, presenting a way to settle the love triangle. He challenges Tanu to turn back if she truly loves him; otherwise, he vows to stay out of her life. The moment tests Tanu's feelings and sets the stage for future confrontations.

Bhoji Reddy's men arrive to beat Shiva for a previous blow to his son. Bhoji threatens that if Tanu turns back, he will beat Shiva; if she stays with him, he will accompany the men. The confrontation escalates the stakes and foreshadows a hostage situation.

Abhi, who is looking for Shiva, arrives and takes Tanu with him. Shiva fights back and defeats the men after a bystander notes that she had turned back. The clash intensifies the pursuit and pushes Tanu further into the orbit of the other men.

Abhi reveals that Tanu has always been lucky for him and wants to marry her. Shiva interrupts her wedding, taking Tanu away, which triggers a fight between Abhi and Bhoji. The disruption reshapes the odds and strengthens Shiva's role in Tanu's life.

Bhoji and Abhi resume the search for Shiva while Tanu and Shiva flee to Goa. The journey marks a turning point as the couple goes on the run and faces new challenges in a tourist destination.

In Goa, Tanu begins to fall for Shiva. Just as she is about to propose, he confronts goons to help unite two lovers and is seriously wounded. She asks him to choose between her and the cause of uniting the lovers, testing his priorities.

Shiva's act of supporting the couple strengthens Tanu's emotional response to him. She grows more conflicted as she sees his selflessness even while wounded. The moment deepens the film's romantic stakes.

Bhoji abducts Tanu, intensifying the crisis and forcing Shiva to push harder to rescue her. The kidnapping accelerates the trajectory toward the revelation of Ram's identity.

Shiva's father reveals that Shiva's real name is Ram. Ram and Shiva were best friends until Shiva committed suicide, and Ram learned that he loved a girl who also died by suicide. He had hidden this past to protect their possible marriage.

Hearing the backstory makes Tanu realize her mistake, and Bhoji finally gives up. Abhi also suffers memory loss in the aftermath. The film moves toward a fragile reconciliation as truths come to light.

In the film's ending, Tanu meets Ram/Shiva in a mall and proposes to him. Ram/Shiva accepts, and the couple decides to live happily together, resolving the love triangle with a romantic and hopeful finale.
