Arivazhagan, a Malaysian returnee in his mid-30s, longs for love before settling down. Despite their initial pestering, Arivazhagan’s genuine kindness earns him a soft spot with Leela’s trio, though Leela grows wary of how close her husband might get to them. She worries he could use her friends as a bridge to get closer to her, so she asks the trio to step back and hints at divorcing if necessary. In the wake of this, Arivazhagan retreats to a bar where his uncle, played by Vtv Ganesh, helps him connect with Leela through a shared alias, “Vikram.” This enigmatic persona draws Leela into a cautious friendship with Vikram, who reveals a peculiar fear of fire that he won’t explain.

Leela’s fortunes shift when she lands a debut role in a film directed by a friend. The set’s atmosphere turns tense when the producer behaves badly toward the young actress, prompting Vikram to step in and confront the misbehavior head-on. Meanwhile, Arivazhagan—still operating under the Vikram guise—makes a bold decision: he will back Leela and her friends by producing the new project, Romeo, and he will take the lead role himself. Leela is hesitant at first, but her friends’ encouragement tip the balance in his favor. What begins as a professional venture gradually deepens into a powerful companionship as Arivazhagan continues to nurture Leela’s dreams, all while maintaining his secret identity as Vikram.

As Romeo moves through preproduction and trial shoots, Arivazhagan wrestles with the craft but slowly grows into his role behind the camera.
