Triads: The Inside Story

Lee Man-ho, son of Hung Hing leader Uncle Kwan, is sent to the United States in his childhood to live a stable life. He builds a family and eventually settles into a normal life far from the Hong Kong underworld. The backstory sets up a tension between his gentle nature and the criminal world he is heir to.

Uncle Kwan is ambushed during a gang fight by rival Shrimp. His death triggers a power vacuum within Hung Hing and draws Ho back to Hong Kong. The event catalyzes Ho's return and the fight for leadership.

Ho returns to Hong Kong for his father's funeral and steps into the role as successor of the Hung Hing Gang. He faces skepticism from Yeung Kong and Tse Shing, who question his fit to lead. The leadership transition is pivotal in setting the gang's future.
