Zombie Driftwood

Gordon's fixation with October File strains his relationship with Jackie, who grows tired of his endless gig-hunting. To patch things up he arranges a Caribbean cruise and invites friends Mannie and Marianne to join, intending a short break that includes a Driftwood bar visit. The group sets course for Grand Cayman to blend romance with a promised night of metal.

The two couples rendezvous at the cruise ship terminal on Grand Cayman and head toward the Driftwood bar. TV news broadcasts increasingly report a missing cruise ship in the Bermuda Triangle, casting a pall over the seaside resort. Dan, the Driftwood owner, surveys his bar and its rock memorabilia as the evening crowd arrives.

Dan is joined by local reporter Tom to follow up on the cruise-ship mystery. Tom reveals that the deserted cruise ship has washed ashore just outside Dan's bar, heightening the sense of danger. The tension inside the Driftwood thickens as the evening wears on.

Mannie and Marianne step outside to enjoy a private moment, only to be attacked and killed by zombie cruise-ship passengers. The shock of the sudden attack ripples through the group, foreshadowing the nightmare to come. The Driftwood's rock-and-roll life is about to collide with horror.

The October File gig is abruptly interrupted as the band members are attacked and killed, cutting the music and rattling the patrons. Dan and the survivors scramble to understand what is happening as the bar erupts in panic. The TV crew and other guests struggle to maintain some semblance of control.

A TV news crew arrives and reporter Tammie exits to take a call from the studio, hinting at a complicated past with Tom. The panic around the abandoned cruise ship outside the bar spills inside as the undead begin to emerge. Dan, Teddy, and the others realize the danger is real and the bar is being overrun.

The zombies breach and begin looting the booze store. Jackie deduces that zombie brains retain a last behavior loop, effectively making them act like misdirected tourists. She hatches a plan to herd or appease them using Dan's merchandise—selling him his own T-shirt collection as a distraction.

Gordon and Teddy fight off the hungry undead and seal a window to keep the Driftwood from the night. In the scuffle, Teddy loses his hat and Colin is bitten, heightening the danger for the remaining survivors. The group starts to grapple with a new, more personal kind of threat.

Ron and Gwen, initially alive and under siege, are handcuffed to each other in a cottage near the Driftwood and attempt to break for safety. Their escape fails, and they are revealed to have joined the ranks of the undead. The siege closes in on the survivors back at the Driftwood.

Gordon reveals his martial-arts prowess and dives to protect Jackie from Tom, who is now a zombie. The survivors cling to hope as authorities declare that zombies are to be detained rather than killed, leaving the Driftwood in a legal limbo. The night stretches on with danger around every corner.

As the night deepens, Adolf Hitler is depicted as hosting a zombie talent show called Z Factor inside the Driftwood. The absurd spectacle intensifies the chaos, forcing the living to improvise a defense against the undead audience. The bar becomes a surreal battlefield between concert energy and horror.

The band October File is reanimated into zombies and forced into a final high-volume performance under the show's host. The living heroes brace for a climactic assault that could endanger everyone inside the Driftwood. The battle between music and monster reaches a fever pitch.

Jackie attempts a tense peace offering by presenting the last of the drinks to the crowd, hoping to calm the chaotic horde. The tactic buys a fragile moment, but the crowd remains dangerous. Teddy's bagpipes then create a surprising counterpoint that unsettles the zombies.
