Zombie Driftwood

Jackie is a bright medical student who dates Gordon. She grows bored of his obsessive behavior and tries to salvage the relationship, but the crisis forces her to adapt. When the outbreak hits, she proves pragmatic and quick-thinking, recognizing the zombies’ last-behavior loops and using that insight to survive.

Gordon is a heavy metal fan who will stop at nothing to catch every gig by his favorite band. He ropes Jackie into a Caribbean cruise to patch things up, but his obsession continues to overshadow the trip. In the crisis, he reveals martial arts skills and fights to protect the group, becoming a reluctant protector.

Dan is the Driftwood bar owner and a fan of rock memorabilia who decorates the bar with items from his collection. He worries about his license as the undead attack, and he uses the bar and its resources to defend himself and his patrons.

Tom is a hardened local news reporter with a chequered history with Tammie. He follows the cruise ship story and becomes entangled in the chaos, eventually becoming a zombie.

Teddy is Dan’s companion and a source of comic relief. A fan of heavy metal culture, he uses bagpipes as a makeshift weapon and even has a run-in with the zombies when the hat is stolen.

Marianne is Mannie’s partner who comes along on the trip; she is attacked by zombie cruise passengers and dies during the siege.

Gwen is a TV news anchor whose affair with Tom complicates their personal lives while they confront the threat outside the Driftwood. She and Ron become targets as the city descends into chaos.

Tammie is a TV reporter with a chequered past with Tom. She leaves the Driftwood and is later found dead among the chaos caused by the cruise ship mystery.

Officer Chisolm is the Royal Cayman Islands Police officer who halts excessive speed, then coordinates with colleagues to detain zombies and protect the Driftwood.

Officer Webb is a member of the RCIP who supports the effort to keep the bar and town safe amid the zombie siege.

The Superintendant is the authority figure who orders the zombies to be detained pending government clearance, shaping the response to the crisis.
