Garlic and Gimmick wait for their informant in a city park when he arrives dying. Before he dies, he manages to tell them where the drugs are hidden. The pair celebrate his sacrifice and brag about not having to pay him, showing their arrogance.

The informant’s information leads to a dramatic drug bust, which Garlic and Gimmick broadcast on the nightly news. The drug lord watches the broadcast and becomes furious, vowing revenge. His anger signals trouble ahead for the officers.

The drug lord’s thugs lure Gimmick with an attractive woman and snap compromising photos of him. The photos are used to blackmail him, with a note demanding the return of drugs or the photos will be published. Garlic and Gimmick are unaware of the trap they’ve fallen into.

While chasing the blackmailers, Garlic and Gimmick cause substantial damage to the city. Police Chief Wong learns of the incident and orders them to step away from the force for a few years and lie low. He also offers undercover assignments to redeem themselves.

Chief Wong presents three undercover options, and Garlic and Gimmick quickly reject two due to personal objections. They reluctantly accept the third assignment to protect Kong Mei-lai at Wong Fei Hong High School.

On their first day at Wong Fei Hong High School, Garlic and Gimmick feel out of place among the other students. The dean delivers a harsh lecture, warning that misfits will be beaten with famous kung fu moves if they misbehave.

Gimmick falls asleep in class and is beaten to stay awake, while Garlic answers a math problem but is punished for arrogance. They arrive late after lunch and suffer more beatings, realizing they may have underestimated the assignment.

The dean introduces Miss Yip, who will tutor them. Garlic and Gimmick flirt with her, only to discover she is also undercover and there to ensure they pass their classes. She becomes part of Chief Wong’s plan to reform them.

Chief Wong imposes grueling courses designed to teach them the school material, and a SWAT distraction helps them cheat on their tests. Garlic and Gimmick push through the exams under pressure, gradually improving.

After passing the tests, Kong Mei-lai arrives at the school, marking the start of the real undercover assignment. The objective shifts from surviving school to protecting her while undercover.

With Mei-lai present, Garlic and Gimmick must balance their swagger with genuine responsibility and ongoing undercover duties. The dynamic among the trio grows more complex as they prepare for field work ahead.

The stage is set for the next phase: the undercover operation against the drug network continues in parallel with their schooling and protective role for Mei-lai. The trio braces for the challenges to come beyond the school walls.
