Yeh Saali Aashiqui (2019) Timeline Explained – Every Event in Order

After Sahil discovered Mittee cheating in exams and confronted her, their relationship fractured. Mittee staged a fainting spell to win Sahil back, but when that failed to fully repair the trust, she escalated by hurting herself and fabricating a rape allegation against Sahil. This calculated lie was designed to destroy Sahil's reputation and get revenge for his accusation of her cheating.

Foreshadowing: Earlier, Mittee had already manipulated the situation by having her friend confirm Sahil's complaint about her cheating, showing her willingness to use deception.

Surya died, not Sahil. The entire final sequence was an elaborate revenge plan. Sahil had secretly freed Surya from the mental asylum earlier and instructed him to wait in Mittee's parents' room. When Mittee shot and killed the person she believed was Sahil, it was actually Surya. Sahil survived by swapping identities with his twin brother.

Foreshadowing: The setup began when Surya visited Mittee to 'thank' her for killing Sahil - a confusing moment that only makes sense once the twist is revealed.

Mittee's father had a heart attack when the video revealing Mittee's lies about the false rape accusation and her cheating was shown publicly at her engagement ceremony. The scandal and public humiliation of his daughter's true character was too much for him to bear.

The whistle was a signature sound that only Sahil could produce. When Mittee heard the whistle after Surya's death, she realized Sahil was still alive and that she had killed the wrong person. He wanted Mittee to experience public humiliation, lose her relationship, cause family damage, and ultimately face justice - but through a plan that put her in a position where she would kill someone she thought was her tormentor, only to discover her mistake.

Foreshadowing: Sahil's improvement in the hospital was actually him planning his revenge while waiting for the right moment.

Mittee lured Sahil to her parents' room under the pretense of meeting him there. This was the climax of her desperation to end the threat Sahil posed.
