Xtinction: Predator X

After a 20-year absence, Laura Le Crois comes back to her family home in the wetlands following her father Pappy's disappearance. She learns that several locals have also gone missing, raising concerns about the safety of the area. Her return sets off a series of investigations and discoveries related to her father and the wetlands' mysteries.

While exploring the wetland, Laura comes across her ex-husband Charles LeBlanc, a zoologist who is trying to buy the wetland for unknown purposes. He is also searching for Pappy, hinting at underlying motives tied to the land and its secrets. Their confrontation hints at potential conflicts over the wetland's future.

Matt, who is soon to be drafted into the Marines, asks Laura to give him and his girlfriend Mandy a boat tour of the wetland. Reluctantly, Laura agrees, and they set off on a small motorboat into the expansive wetlands, with Matt planning to propose to Mandy later that evening.

During their boat trip, Matt proposes to Mandy at a dock, and she happily accepts. The moment is joyful, contrasting with the ominous events unfolding nearby as the group enjoys their break in the wetlands.

Laura witnesses her father being thrown into the water by locals Barry and Larry. Moments later, Pappy is attacked and eaten by a pilosaurus, an aquatic reptile thought to be extinct, marking a shocking escalation in the area's danger and mysteries.

Barry and Larry knock Matt unconscious, and Sally Mandy hostage, preparing to feed Matt to the pilosaurus. Laura attempts to warn them but ends up being knocked out herself, escalating the peril for everyone involved.

Laura, Mandy, and Matt, now tied up in Barry and Larry's cabin, discover that it is rigged with explosives. Barry and Larry plan to feed them to the pilosaurus, revealing their sinister intentions and the threat to their lives.

Deputy Henry arrives at the cabin and discovers a large jaw belonging to the pilosaurus. He is captured after Henry encounters Charles, who explains about the cloned creature and suggests Henry investigate the disappearances himself.

Henry succumbs to his wounds from Barry's gunshot, dying from his injuries. Meanwhile, Laura and Mandy manage to escape as the explosives are detonated during a diversion created by Mandy, destroying the cabin and momentarily ending their captivity.

Froggy, who is revealed to be Laura's half-brother and working for Charles, captures the women after killing Barry. He confesses his motive, which stems from past family betrayal involving Pappy, and takes them to another cabin, further escalating the conflict.

Sheriff Tim Richards arrives and causes Froggy to crash the truck into a cabin. During the chaos, Froggy is impaled by a wooden beam and dies after warning Tim, Laura, and Mandy to run as a gas explosion erupts, forcing them to escape on foot.

Laura, Mandy, and Tim return to the wetland's starting point and discover the native nest and the sonar device that was used to attract the pilosaurus. They realize the creature's cloning and containment are central to the island's dangers.

Charles arrives to reclaim Mandy and takes her hostage before throwing her into the water as the pilosaurus appears. Tim disarms Charles and pushes him into the creature, which then eats Charles, ending his plans permanently.

Laura, Tim, and Mandy rescue Mandy from the water while the pilosaurus attacks on land. Lefty, Laura's mother, arrives just in time to throw dynamite into the creature's mouth, killing it and ending the threat.

With the pilosaurus dead, the survivors thank Lefty, whose arm was previously bitten off. Paramedics arrive to help the injured, and the wetlands' mysteries are finally laid to rest, ending the perilous saga of cloning and creature attacks.
