Without a Paddle

Ten years after high school, the three friends receive news of their childhood companion Billy's tragic death in a parasailing accident in Costa Rica. This loss brings back memories of their bond during their youth, setting the stage for a nostalgic reunion.

The friends gather to attend Billy's funeral, where they reflect on their past adventures and the impact of losing their friend. This somber event rekindles their friendship and ignites a sense of adventure among them.

After the funeral, Jerry, Dan, and Tom visit their old treehouse, a place filled with childhood memories. To their astonishment, they find a treasure map related to D.B. Cooper, which Billy had been passionate about during his life.

Eager for a thrill, Dan takes a leave of absence from his medical career to join Jerry and Tom on a camping trip in search of the legendary treasure. The trio sets out with excitement, aiming to follow the map's clues.

They navigate to a location known as Grandpa's Nose, where they set up camp for the night. Under the stars, the friends reminisce and bond over their shared memories while learning that they forgot to pack food.

In a desperate move to alleviate their hunger, Tom attempts to catch fish but unintentionally provokes a grizzly bear. The friends are thrown into chaos as they flee, trying to escape the bear's chase.

During the bear chase, Dan falls behind and is comically mistaken for the bear's cub. He finds himself trapped in the bear's den, enduring an unpleasant meal of a mangled squirrel before making a daring escape.

The next morning, the friends discover that their supplies have been ravaged by the bear, along with significant damage to their treasure map. With their journey at risk, they must rely on their wit and resourcefulness.

As they float down the river, the trio misreads the treasure map, leading them into treacherous rapids. They are unexpectedly plunged over a waterfall but manage to survive, albeit with a wrecked canoe.

In the woods, the friends accidentally encounter a pot farm run by Dennis and Elwood, who mistake them for intruders. In a panic, they find themselves dodging bullets as the aggressive farmers open fire.

As they attempt to flee, the friends become disoriented from the smoke released during the conflict. Their chaotic escape leads them into a pond, managing to evade the furious farmers.

In a twist of fate, the friends meet two hippie girls who take them in and provide nourishment. However, the farmers track them down, leading to a bizarre battle involving feces as the girls help the guys escape.

Just when things seem hopeless, the trio is rescued by Del Knox, a reclusive former partner of D.B. Cooper. He offers them shelter and clothing, providing a brief respite from the chaos outside.

The farmers launch a retaliatory assault on Del's hut, leading to a desperate escape. In a moment of chaos, Jerry accidentally drops a grenade, causing a chain reaction of explosions that allows for their escape.

The friends eventually discover the site of D.B. Cooper's crash, finding his remains and the burnt suitcase filled with money. After an emotional tribute, they are rewarded with a part of the treasure, leading to personal milestones in their lives.
