Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore

Pooh walks to the wooden bridge over the river and spots a fir cone. He trips and the cone is carried away by the current, inspiring him to turn the river into a racing game. He names the game Poohsticks and begins testing it with sticks.

Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit and Roo begin playing Poohsticks on the river. As they play, they notice Eeyore floating down the current and manage to rescue him. The moment marks the first hint that something is off with Eeyore.

After being pulled from the water, Eeyore explains that he fell in after being bounced from behind. The group wonders who did it, and Tigger is quickly suspected. The narrator later confirms that Tigger had indeed bounced Eeyore earlier.

Tigger denies causing the fall and, feeling blamed, leaves in disgust. Pooh and friends are left to process Eeyore's gloom and try to cheer him up. The mood around the river remains tense after the accusation.

Pooh follows Eeyore to his Gloomy Spot and discovers that today is Eeyore's birthday. No one has noticed or prepared a celebration for him. Pooh's sympathy for Eeyore grows as he contemplates a simple gift.

To cheer Eeyore, Pooh decides to give him an empty honey pot with a birthday message. Owl writes the note on the pot and flies off to share the news with Christopher Robin. Pooh hopes this simple gift will lift Eeyore's spirits.

Owl travels to tell Christopher Robin about Eeyore's birthday. Christopher Robin begins making plans, hoping to join the celebration with his friends.

Piglet prepares a balloon for Eeyore but gets distracted by Owl, causing the balloon to pop. Despite the mishap, Piglet still presents the balloon to Eeyore, trying to brighten his day.

Pooh arrives with the empty honey pot, and Eeyore is gladdened by the thoughtful gift. He even places the broken balloon into the pot and removes it again, which brings a small smile to his face.

A party is thrown for Eeyore, though Tigger invites himself. A debate arises about whether Tigger should stay after his earlier behavior. Christopher Robin suggests that everyone celebrate by playing Poohsticks at the wooden bridge.

During the Poohsticks games, Eeyore wins the most rounds despite being a first-time player. Tigger wins nothing, much to his dismay. The others cheer for Eeyore's unlikely success.

As the day ends, most of the group heads home, with Eeyore keeping Tigger company and cheering him up. Christopher Robin, Pooh and Piglet stay at the bridge and declare that Tigger's all right, really, and that everyone is all right, really.
