A man must battle a series of rivals to keep his girlfriend, in a style that recalls the comic‑book fight sequences of Scott Pilgrim. When he suddenly becomes aware that he is actually inside a movie, the story turns meta and playful. The film doubles as a heartfelt love letter from its screenwriter to Brian O’Malley.
