Petter and Kari fall in love and marry, but as a low‑income young couple they struggle to find a home. Living with Petter’s parents is impossible, and Kari can’t tolerate her mother‑in‑law’s meddling. Their plans to build a house hit endless red tape, while affordable rentals are scarce. With Kari’s pregnancy, the pressure only intensifies.
