Welcome to the Show

Five elementary school kids on their summer “school trip” — Chris [Christopher Martin], Andi [Scout Smith], Rich [Richard Follin], Dillon [Dillon Douglasson], and Keegan [Keegan Garant] — find their vacation turning cosmic when they stumble upon an injured dog in a corn field. They rescue the creature, who reveals himself as an alien named Pochi Rickman, and he offers them a reward: a chance to visit the Moon. The promise of adventure quickly spirals into a whirlwind of strange events that strands the group far from Earth, forcing them to navigate the stars with their unlikely companion.

The quartet’s journey to Wan, the dog’s homeworld, becomes a test of courage and teamwork as they race across the galaxy to return home. Along the way, they are relentlessly pursued by the aliens who injured Pochi—the very foes who operate under Neppo, the charismatic host of The Space Show, a popular interstellar entertainment act broadcast from a mysterious, constantly moving spaceship called the Pet Star. Neppo’s ambition is grand: harness the ship’s power to ascend to godlike status, but the ship requires a special power source named Zughan, a substance that resembles a wasabi root and also appears to function as a recreational drug. Natsuki carries some of this root in her bag, drawing Neppo’s focus and danger their way.

As the chase intensifies, Neppo and his henchmen escalate their effort, stealing the bag during a dramatic tractor-beam moment as the kids and Pochi reach Wan. The stakes rise even higher when Amane is kidnapped in the process, adding a personal backbone to the conflict and pushing the children toward a decisive confrontation. The group gathers allies they meet along their journey, turning a perilous quest into a united stand against a universe‑threatening scheme.

The final confrontation unfolds at an interstellar festival, where ingenuity, courage, and loyal companions help the children turn the tide. They manage to defeat Neppo, rescue Amane, and recover Pyon-Kichi, the rabbits’ fate tied to the sprawling adventure. With time running short, the kids—together with their new friends and the rescued pets—make their way back home to Earth, arriving at the school just as their parents come to collect them. The tale blends wonder, danger, and imagination as a simple summer trip becomes a journey to save the universe itself.
