Voodoo Woman

Harry West discovers gold in the idol worshipped by the jungle voodoo tribe of Bantalaya. He enlists two American treasure hunters, including Marilyn Blanchard, to help him claim the treasure. Marilyn plots to keep the gold for herself while Harry provides the cover of a legitimate expedition. The group ventures deeper into the jungle toward the idol.

Marilyn murders Harry West to obtain the treasure map and secure sole control over the prize. With the map in hand, she and her accomplice deceive Ted Bronson into acting as their jungle guide. Ted is led to believe he will be paid and kept safe, but he is manipulated into leading them to the tribe that owns the idol.

Ted Bronson is conned into serving as the jungle guide for the expedition. He is led through treacherous terrain by Marilyn to the region where the tribe that owns the idol resides. The trio advances deeper into the jungle under the promise of riches.

Meanwhile, Dr. Roland Gerard has exiled himself deep in the jungle, operating from a hidden laboratory. He blends native voodoo with his own biochemical experiments in a bid to create a superhuman being who can be controlled by hypnosis and telepathy. His work is driven by the belief that a new, deathless race can be produced and mastered.

Dr. Gerard's wife Susan is trapped in the jungle compound, prevented from leaving by her husband and the natives. She contemplates escape but feels the danger of opposing Gerard's control. Her role becomes a captive presence within the laboratory's tense power dynamics.

Gerard's initial attempt to create a female superbeing fails; the transformation is only temporary and the subject lacks the killer instinct needed to carry out his commands. The experiment leaves him frustrated and seeking a more suitable candidate. The lab atmosphere is filled with the tension of a project on the edge of disaster.

Marilyn Blanchard is selected as the ideal subject for Gerard's experiment. He successfully turns her into an invulnerable monster through his blend of voodoo and biochemistry. With this new power, she becomes a dangerous instrument he believes will help him control the world.

When Marilyn discovers that the treasure pursuit was a sham, Gerard loses his mental hold over her. She breaks free from his control and erupts with violent fury, destroying him in the ensuing chaos.

With Gerard dead, chaos erupts, and Ted Bronson and Susan manage to escape from the jungle lab. Their survival hinges on the sudden upheaval caused by Marilyn's rampage. They leave behind the ruin of Gerard's experiments as they flee.

Marilyn regains her humanity after Gerard's demise and focuses on salvaging the idol. She moves toward the idol with renewed resolve, aware that the treasure still lies within reach.

In her attempt to salvage the idol, Marilyn nears the poisonous gas pit used by the natives for sacrifices. She loses balance and falls into the pit, but the fall transforms her back into the beast.
