In the breathtaking landscape of the Italian countryside, where echoes of war softly intertwine with the air, a heart-wrenching narrative begins to unravel. Encouraging Jakob to play the piano again – an instrument that once brought joy to him and his mother – Verena begins to forge a close friendship with Lilia, sharing evenings filled with discussions about Jakob’s struggles, Malvina’s legacy, and Verena’s transient life as a wanderer, never lingering long enough to build lasting relationships.
