Charlie’s world turns chaotic after a brutal hit of fate. At the funeral of his friend Raj, Raj’s wife Shaila hands Charlie a CD that contains explosive information: a covert transfer of gold ingots by train, traveling from Russia to Romania. The discovery sets Charlie on a collision course with danger, and he decides to pull off the heist with the help of his seasoned mentor, a notorious conman named Victor Braganza. They assemble a crew of criminals to back the operation, a team built for a single, high-stakes objective: steal the Russian gold as cleanly as possible.

The lineup is as varied as it is capable. There’s Spider, a world-class hacker who can breach nearly any digital barrier; Riya Thapar, a seductress with driving skills and a sharp eye for mechanics; Bilal Bashir, an explosives expert whose expertise adds both precision and risk to the plan; Sunny, a prosthetic makeup artist who can craft disguises and illusions; and Ronnie, a gifted magician whose tricks could mask movements and misdirect guards. Together, they map out a plan that aims to exploit every weak point and blind spot, “the sleaziest” possible path to success, as they put it, while Charlie juggles the emotional undercurrents of trust and betrayal.

Before the heist even begins, another thread threads through the plot. Victor’s daughter, Naina, returns to India from Australia, intending to bring her father back upon his release from prison. The reunion adds a personal gravity to Victor’s criminal past and raises the stakes for everyone involved. As the group hones their approach, Spider taps into a Russian satellite system, Ronnie conjures an illusion to mislead the trained soldiers guarding the gold, and the team moves to physically transfer the treasure from the train. The robbery unfolds with a chilling efficiency, and Charlie calls Victor to share the success. Yet the moment is spoiled for some: Naina overhears the celebratory call and learns that Victor may have broken a promise to stay away from crime.

In the glow of their victory, another layer of motive surfaces. Ronnie reveals a painful secret—he has a daughter who is hospitalized after a paralysis that occurred during one of his own magic performances. The disclosure adds a human motive to the group’s trajectory, revealing how far someone might push for family and healing even as crime swirls around them.

Then the plot careens into betrayal. Spider, ever the opportunist, betrays the gang by admitting that he learned of the gold through Shaila before Charlie did, all while playing to Shaila’s vulnerabilities. A year passes, and Charlie’s search for the missing gold continues in the shadows. He reaches out to gold dealers, trying to unravel who has the stolen treasure and whether it still serves Victor’s dream of a lasting orphanage. The hunt leads them across oceans to New Zealand, where the gang tracks a dealer tied into Spider’s network. Charlie explains to Naina that the group’s objective was never mere wealth but a means to realize Victor’s dream of giving vulnerable children a safer future. Naina, now wrapped in a shared hunger for vengeance, agrees to join in a plan to take Spider down.

The New Zealand leg brings a chilling twist: Riya is not only alive but living nearby, and she confirms that she also wants revenge on Spider. She supplies key information about Spider’s residence, and yet Spider himself continues to weave his own misdirections, flirting with Naina and drawing her into his villa. The tension escalates as Spider discovers a hidden camera in Naina’s dress, realizing that she is aligned with Charlie. In response, Charlie chargers into Spider’s mansion in an armored truck to rescue Naina and to lay down a stark threat—he intends to steal all of the gold within forty-eight hours.

Spider, determined not to be outmaneuvered, attempts to move the gold to a different jurisdiction. But the gang, aided by three large trucks and a coordinated hack into the traffic system, intercepts him and transfers the gold into three Mini Coopers. The plan appears downright audacious, and just as the group begins their exodus, they uncover a bitter truth: Riya had been working with Spider all along. The revelation cracks open old loyalties, and Spider’s hold over the situation tightens.

The confrontation reaches a fever pitch. Spider tries to force the gang to surrender the gold, but the trunks of the Mini Coopers are empty. In a cruel turn, Spider betrays Riya and threatens to kill her. Before Charlie can reveal the location that will place the gold in their hands, Riya shoots herself, and Spider stabs Charlie. Sunny and Bilal spring into action, subduing Spider with blows, and Naina steps forward to end the threat—she shoots Spider three times, ensuring his demise. The dramatic sting lands with the revelation that the Mini Coopers containing the gold are not where they seem to be; the real treasure lies elsewhere, and the plan’s final misdirection is unveiled.

As the dust settles, the four survivors head back toward India with the illusion shattered but the truth clear. The Russian mafia’s attempts to intercept them fail because the Mafia discovers the cars are empty, only to reveal that the “coopers” themselves were crafted from the gold—an audacious, literal reconstitution of wealth that secures a final, bitter irony. In the end, each character’s path resolves in its own way: Bilal moves into a new business opportunity by opening a car dealership, Sunny pursues a life on stage as a theatre actor, and Charlie and Naina team up to realize Victor’s dream by opening the orphanage. Charlie also takes on the responsibility of raising Ronnie’s daughter, putting a personal exhale on the turbulent journey.
