Cu Hu takes Linh on a vacation after her heart transplant, hoping to start their marriage in peace. The calm soon gives way to creeping unease as Linh experiences unexplainable occurrences. After fifty days, Linh sleepwalks to Phuong's grave in an isolated area. Tam finds her and brings her back to his house, saying she is with him for the moment. Linh realizes the grave and the house are connected to her dreams.

Inside, Linh encounters Phuong’s mother Bà Lê and Cu Hu, discovering that this is the house from her visions. Tam anchors Linh’s stay, explaining she is with him temporarily. The revelation unsettles Linh as the memory of Phuong overlaps with her own life.

It becomes clear that Linh's heart was Phuong's, inherited through the transplant. The revelation carries heavy emotional weight, raising questions of debts, loyalties, and what it means to live with someone else’s memories. Ms. Le invites them to stay for Phuong's 49-day ceremony, grounding the haunting in ritual.

From the moment they decide to stay, the atmosphere thickens and presses in around Linh and Tam. Linh experiences more sleepwalking, and Son's presence seems to haunt them as a warning of the truth. She begins to fear that leaving would endanger her life, as the heart inside her may compel her to stay.

Son finally confesses that he caused the fatal car accident, though he was rushing to the hospital. Police, led by Sau Dung, question him and the case seems ready to close, yet the air remains unsettled. The admission deepens the mystery around the heart's origin and the deaths involved.

Linh reveals that Phuong was alive but unconscious when Son drove away, and the corpse found earlier had been misidentified. Tam confirms that the body is Phuong's and arranges a funeral, complicating guilt and cover-up. The truth shifts the moral landscape and tightens the bonds among Linh, Tam, and Phuong's memory.

Phuong reconciles with her mother, suggesting a fragile peace begins to rest over the family. Linh and Son find happiness together, partially restored by the truth that has emerged. The film ends with a calm water scene as Cu Hu guides Phuong on a boat, a quiet moment of memory and resolution.
