Raghuvaran goes out on a date with Shalini and deliberately ignores his mother's repeated calls, not knowing she is having a heart attack. He was supposed to be caring for her since she had a heart condition. When he returns home, he discovers she has died, leaving him overwhelmed with guilt.

On inauguration day, Arun and his gang ambush Raghuvaran on the way to the site. Raghuvaran defeats them using clever tactics but instead of seeking revenge, he expresses a desire to be friends with Arun. He then takes Arun to the site on his moped, showing he values reconciliation over retaliation.

Anitha receives Bhuvana's lungs after her death. When Raghuvaran accepts the job from her father Ramkumar, he requests that Anitha stop smoking to protect the transplanted lungs. She agrees to quit smoking, showing she values the second chance at life.

Despite Arun using illegal methods to bid for the contract, Raghuvaran's honest and competent proposal wins the government project to construct high-rise flats for slum residents. His technical skills and determination secure the contract fairly.

After Raghuvaran obtains the recorded confession of Arun admitting to hiring rowdies, he threatens to release the footage publicly. Arun's father Venkat fears the damage to his family's reputation and arranges for Arun to apologize to Raghuvaran, which Raghuvaran accepts.

After the rowdies attack leaves workers injured in the hospital, Raghuvaran confronts Arun and obtains the confession recording. Using this leverage, he forces an apology and the project continues without further interference. Raghuvaran's leadership and the dedication of his assistants Azhagusundaram and Manikkam help complete the flats within ten months.

Shalini initially dislikes Raghuvaran but softens after learning about his struggles and unemployment. She gradually reciprocates his affection and stands by him throughout his journey. After his successful project inauguration, their relationship continues to deepen.
