Vampires: The Turning

Connor and Amanda are vacationing in Thailand during the Songkran festival and attend a Muay Thai match. Amanda is distressed by the brutality and eventually refuses to stay, returning to their hotel alone. The mood sets the stage for danger creeping into their trip.

Amanda wanders the Phang Nga market and becomes separated from Connor. A seemingly friendly man, Mr Nice Guy, offers to guide her but leads her into a deserted alley where he reveals his true nature as a vampire and abducts her on a motorcycle. The abduction catalyzes the chase that drives the rest of the plot.

A bald-headed man arrives and decapitates the vampire, saving Connor from an attack. He warns Connor to leave Thailand, and Connor decides to follow him. He heads toward Kong Sai House, driven by the need to find Amanda.

Connor returns to Kong Sai House only to find the people asleep as if drugged. While investigating, he is attacked by Sang, a predatory vampire, and escapes by leaping from a window. The encounter deepens the danger surrounding Amanda's disappearance.

Outside the house, vampire hunter Raines stops Connor and tests his blood to see if he's infected. When the test comes back clean, Connor pleads for help in finding Amanda, but Raines warns him to leave Thailand or face deadly consequences. The tone tightens as the chase continues.

Connor refuses to give up and returns to Kong Sai House, where a photo of Niran in front of the Techno Games Arcade near the Phang Nga market catches his eye. He realizes Niran is likely connected to Amanda's disappearance. The clue sets his path toward the arcade and beyond.

Connor discovers Amanda held in a macabre cell with drained corpses and blood artifacts. They escape together but are immediately pursued by two jai tham mounted on motorcycles. One abducts Amanda while the other fights Connor and is saved by Sang as they flee on a motorcycle.

To give them a fighting chance against the ritual, Sang embraces Connor and turns him into a vampire. The change deepens their bond and tightens the stakes as they prepare for the eclipse.

On eclipse day, Sang must perform the sun-embrace at the original birthplace of the curse, a couple blocks away. The Song neng strike a deal with Raines to guard the site while they carry out the ritual. The plan hinges on a 17-minute window starting at 3:00 PM.

The jai tham arrive and a brutal melee erupts. Connor and Niran fall into a hidden pit and continue fighting, while slayers open fire and slaughter both Song Neng and jai tham. The allies realize the slayers have betrayed them, leaving Connor and Niran as the last combatants in the pit.

In a tense standoff, Connor carries Sang toward the ritual spot as the sun nears. He fights the urge to shoot Sang and instead diverts his aim to Raines so Sang can complete the rite. When the sun returns, Sang explodes, taking Raines with her and lifting the curse.

With the curse ended and Sang sacrificed, Connor hurries back to the jai tham base to rescue Amanda. They reunite and escape the compound, ending the immediate threat to their lives. The ordeal tests their bond but ultimately brings them closer.
