Iringannoor Bharathan Pisharody, a Sanskrit University professor renowned for his deep knowledge of the Vedas, astrology and Kathakali, and a celebrated author, is the film’s central figure. Meera (Padmapriya), his devoted student and murapennu, is set to marry him, and both families have fixed a wedding date. On the auspicious day, the bride arrives at the mandapam only to find the groom has vanished, and years pass with no word of his whereabouts. While his mother and younger brother undertake a pilgrimage to Haridwar, Kedarnath, Rishikesh and Rudraprayag, they encounter Bharathan on the Himalayan foothills, setting in motion a touching tale of reunion, discovery and redemption.
