A group of college students, led by the determined Kate Carter, gathers in the heart of America. Their mission: to witness the wrath of a tornado first-hand and deploy barrels filled with sodium polyacrylate using their advanced Dorothy V doppler technology.

As the students brave the howling winds of an approaching storm, Javi monitors the tornado’s path while others prepare to deploy their barrels. The fierce winds momentarily topple their barrels, but the group regroups, refusing to be deterred from their mission.

Despite their efforts, the tornado escalates to an EF5. In a frantic scramble for survival, Praveen and Addy get swept away, and Jeb sacrifices himself to protect Kate, who struggles to hang onto a beam as the chaos ensues.
