Trigger Happy

George Decker longs to escape his mundane life and travel to the Bahamas, but his plans are complicated by debt, a dissatisfying job, and a feeling of being trapped by American culture. His wife, Annie, also has aspirations – to land the lead role in an infomercial for the popular "WOW! Sponge." The couple’s two friends, Mikey and Gemma Breyer, are also struggling with their own issues, harboring secrets and navigating scandalous situations. Mikey, an unemployed entrepreneur, maintains a cheerful demeanor, while Gemma seeks solace in an affair with a skydive instructor. Against the backdrop of a nation where gun ownership is linked to health insurance and children's television blends entertainment with militaristic themes, George's frustrations escalate as Annie's acting career advances, leading to a series of chaotic, violent, and unexpectedly humorous events as their lives intertwine.
