Detective Tom Canboro, from a Christian family, is shocked when his brother‑in‑law Jason attacks his wife as a “hater.” Suspecting a demonic plot, Tom crashes and awakens years later in a strange hospital. The world now bears a 666 mark on every right hand; those without it die. Franco Macalusso, a self‑styled peace champion, now rules, aiming to reunite humanity as at Babel.
