Trailer Park Boys: The Movie

Julian devises an intricate plan to siphon funds from an ATM, bringing along his closest allies, Ricky and Bubbles, in a quest for quick riches. However, their scheme unravels spectacularly, thrusting them into a whirlwind of trouble with the law. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Bubbles successfully evades capture, while Ricky and Julian end up behind bars for an 18-month stint.

After a mere 26 days, Donny, the prison instructor, hastens their release, keen to keep Ricky from a rival team’s goalie showdown that could jeopardize his own team’s performance in the looming jail street-hockey tournament. With freedom restored, they’re picked up by Bubbles and Ricky’s father, Ray, only to be met at Sunnyvale Trailer Park by Jim Lahey and his sidekick Randy—two characters known for their love of cheeseburgers and their shirtless antics.

As Ricky attempts to win back the heart of his estranged girlfriend, Lucy, he resolves to be a more committed father to their daughter, Trinity. But a startling revelation from Sarah, Lucy’s friend, sends him on a quest to reunite his family: Lucy has swapped her old job for employment at a strip club, complete with breast augmentation. Sonny, her enigmatic boss, quickly becomes a challenging adversary. With a gang comprised of Ricky, Julian, Bubbles, Cory, and Trevor, they plot a visit to the strip club, where Ricky rekindles his relationship with Lucy, while Julian showcases his charm during a date with Wanda.

This triggers Ricky’s ambitious heist, dubbed the “Big Dirty,” which promises financial liberation. Meanwhile, Julian, inspired by an inmate’s advice, begins to collect small coins to stay ahead of the law with his cunning antics. However, tensions rise as they clash over the heist’s execution. Meanwhile, Lahey schemes to evict the boys, fabricating a story for his ex-wife, Barb, accusing Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles of falling three months behind on their lot fees.

The trio’s plans hit a snag when their efforts to burn the cinema down go awry, thanks to Cory and Trevor triggering the fire alarm inadvertently, drawing unwanted scrutiny from the authorities. Yet, they manage to make off with the cash, hiding it in Ricky’s trunk.

Later, as Ricky prepares to marry Lucy, Sonny bursts in, brandishing a firearm and shooting at Ricky’s vehicle, causing cash to rain down from the bullet-riddled trunk. The police, led by officers George Green and Ted Johnston, apprehend Wanda due to various outstanding warrants, while she promptly reports Sonny’s firearm incident. Lahey catches sight of the floating money and hastens to inform the authorities, skedaddling right after flipping his own vehicle.

The tension reaches its pinnacle during a court hearing, where Ricky argues that the evidence only implicates Cory and Trevor, and Lahey’s testimony serves as the only link back to their wrongdoing. In a clever twist, Ricky insists on a breathalyzer test for Lahey, questioning his competency as a witness due to his apparent intoxication. The results confirm Lahey’s inebriation, rendering him an unreliable source, leading the judge to declare the boys innocent while ordering the cash returned, citing the absence of proof linking it to illegal proceedings.

Celebrated by their acquittal, Ricky aims a taunt at Lahey, prompting the judge to threaten him with a week in jail. Recalling the street hockey tournament, Ricky gets permission from Lucy and Trinity to spend the week behind bars ahead of a final jab at the judge, Lahey, and Randy. In a triumph of skill, Ricky’s team prevails against Donny’s ensemble, thanks to a game-saving stop from Ricky; meanwhile, Cory and Trevor earn newfound respect among their fellow inmates after whimsically “pantsing” Donny before a live audience.

As their extraordinary escapades draw to a close, Ricky, Trinity, and Lucy relish a nurturing family environment. In a delightful twist, Bubbles pours his creativity into constructing an eye-catching new shed for his uproarious “Super Cats Catshow.” Likewise, Julian reunites with his long-lost love, Wanda, sparking a romance filled with both laughter and tears as they rediscover one another. Out in the snowy expanse, Cory and Trevor enjoy riding their snowmobile, embodying a refreshing spirit of camaraderie. On the law enforcement side, Lahey and Randy maintain their diligence, ever watchful of the park’s events. The scene electrifies as J-Roc and Tyrone take the stage with high-energy rap, energizing the crowd. Lastly, Ray celebrates his good fortune, enjoying a few drinks while spinning gleefully in his wheelchair, a true embodiment of unrestrained joy.
