On April 18, 2003, Summer Field attends the senior class event known as Spring Fling. This event is marred by the recent tragic murders of her close friends, Emmy, Brian, and Val, committed by a serial killer known as The Sweetly Slasher.

While in a back bathroom during the party, Summer is confronted by a masked figure wielding a knife. In the chaos of the party getting shut down by police, she narrowly escapes, heading toward the barn, where the real horror begins.

Twenty years later, a high school student named Lucy Field feels invisible in a town overshadowed by the horrific events surrounding her sister Summer's death. The community remains fixated on the unsolved mysteries of the past, highlighting how deep the scars run.

Lucy comes across a glowing light in a nearby hay barn, leading her to accidentally discover a time machine. Struck by curiosity and desperation, she decides to travel back to 2003, right before her sister’s tragic fate.
