Three Steps Over Heaven

Babi comes from an elite family, preferring quiet routines and high-society events, while Ache leads a reckless, jobless life with his gang. A party hosted by Babi's circle erupts into chaos when the Siamese gatecrashers arrive. Ache pushes Babi into the pool during the clash, and she retaliates with a milkshake, escalating the riot. The night ends with tensions flaring between the groups.

During the drive home, Babi's boyfriend is tailed by the gang and the car is damaged. He bumps off one gang member, triggering Ache to chase and attack him, even elbowing a bystander trying to intervene. Babi's boyfriend departs, leaving Babi with Ache.

Next morning, Babi discovers Katina is dating Pollo, which means she will see Ache more frequently and intensify the triangle between them. The news unsettles Babi, foreshadowing future complications. The new social dynamic sets the tone for the following days.

One night, Katina attends the port street race, switches off her phone, and becomes the passenger for El Chino, Ache's nemesis, in a Siamese ride. After the race, Ache helps her escape when the police arrive.

The next morning, police have captured both Ache and Babi on the bike, and the incident appears in the newspapers. The public attention strains their secret romance.

Babi skips school to go on a date with Ache. They encounter an altercation with Ache's mother and her boyfriend at a traffic jam, but Babi manages to calm him down. The romance deepens despite ongoing tensions.

To cheer her up, Ache takes her to an empty house by the beach for a surprise date. They have sex and return in the evening. Ache then blackmails Babi's teacher to change her grade and holds Pepito, her dog, hostage.

Pollo and the gang burst into Babi's house during a private moment, forcing a confrontation. Babi refrains from talking to him, and the relationship with Ache continues to fracture as tensions rise.

On results day, Katina and Babi pass their exams. Pollo proposes to Katina after their race, but tragedy strikes when Pollo crashes and dies. Grief and fear lead Babi to break up with Ache to avoid a life of danger.

Months pass and it is Christmas; Ache struggles to move on from Babi and Pollo's deaths. Katina shares in the grief, while Babi distances herself from the street life and starts dating Padre.

One night, Ache tries to call Babi, but her mother answers and hangs up as she sees Babi and Padre out on a date. Ache learns that Babi has moved on with Padre, deepening the emotional rift.

Ache confides in his brother Alex and decides to move to London for work. The move is framed as a step toward escaping the life that kept him bound to Babi and the street world.

The film ends with Ache and Alex on a motorcycle, riding away from the beach and along the road where he and Babi shared many memories. It marks a bittersweet farewell to their past and a new path forward.
